Job Title: Director - HR US

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to join our team at Kudelski Group. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our Kudelski Security and IoT business units, driving business outcomes through people programs, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as a trusted advisor and strategic HR partner to our business leaders, providing guidance on HR-related matters and driving business outcomes through people programs.
  • Develop and execute HR strategies that align with our business objectives, including recruitment, talent management, employee engagement, and total rewards.
  • Partner with our leadership teams to build a strong and rewarding culture, where employees are engaged, empowered, and energized by their work.
  • Provide effective guidance and consultation on employee relations issues, lead and facilitate resolution of issues balancing business and staff needs.
  • Support immigration and visa efforts of transferring employees, build and develop meaningful analytics for resource planning and reporting.
  • Draw upon and provide input to Corp/Group HR specialist teams to ensure tools & policies are effectively meeting the needs of the division(s) and region.
  • Administer Corp HRIS tool as it relates to client group requirements, including recruitment, performance development, and compensation.
  • Lead Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging for the US, leading monthly/bi-monthly meetings that evolve US practices and support employees.
  • Own and deliver special regional HR initiatives or projects as required.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of current employment law and HR best practices to interpret applicability to staff, locations, and company policies.
  • Serve as sponsor and provide oversight for the US apprenticeship program, curriculum evolution, trainer engagement, oversight of the student manager, and partnership with the business unit, state, school, and others to develop the next generation of cybersecurity professionals.
  • Maintain documentation of programs, policies, and practices.
  • Support and foster an HR/People "culture of excellence".
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of 2 to 3 HR professionals.
Requirements:
  • At least 8 - 10 years leadership/managerial position within an HR Director and/or Sr. Business Partner role, preferably in a high-tech or high-growth environment.
  • An influencer who inspires credibility, gains support and inspires enthusiasm for the vision and strategy, brings energy, motivation, and change management skills to influence in a changing environment with many legacy values and systems.
  • An excellent communicator, explains complicated concepts simply and clearly, delivers delicate or difficult messages effectively, appropriately, and with sensitivity, highly effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Approachable, open, and visible with a strong executive presence and customer service mindset, a relationship builder who continuously learns, is self-aware, and listens, shows high emotional intelligence.
  • Must be able to partner and work in a highly matrixed, distributed, sometimes complex environment, exhibits multi-cultural sensitivity.
  • Strong financial acumen to translate business strategy into people programs that drive results, sound data and analytical ability with excellent computer skills.
  • Aptitude to multi-task, exhibit flexibility, manage time, plan effectively, be quality and detail oriented, and work with little supervision is a must.
  • English is required, other languages (French) is an asset.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or HR management or equivalent, Master's degree and HR certifications a plus.
  • 10-15% domestic travel, one global trip annually can be expected.
