Purpose and Summary:
Under the guidance of the Location Manager, you will be responsible for delivering products, managing sales leads, applying fertilizers, crop protection products, or agricultural lime, inspecting fields, and performing maintenance or repairs on equipment as necessary. The Agricultural Operations Coordinator plays a crucial role in enhancing location profitability through effective planning and execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and supervise both full-time and part-time staff necessary for facility operations.
  • Blend products in accordance with recommended guidelines and procedures.
  • Manage inventory control and ensure daily submission of application records, ensuring all products are accounted for with appropriate documentation.
  • Oversee product ordering, inventory management, and shipping/receiving processes.
  • Coordinate the scheduling of product deliveries and applications while maintaining the upkeep and appearance of assigned equipment and facilities.
  • Apply crop production inputs to fields and crops, adhering to recommended rates and pesticide label instructions.
  • Conduct field inspections following standard sampling patterns to monitor plant health and detect pests or diseases.
  • Ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of agricultural equipment and facilities.
  • Manage inventory levels of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, and other agricultural inputs.
  • Coordinate procurement and logistics to guarantee timely access to necessary resources.
  • Optimize labor and resource utilization to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with agricultural regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Implement quality control measures to uphold high production standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of agricultural activities, inputs, outputs, and compliance documentation.
  • Assist in budgeting and financial planning for agricultural operations.
  • Monitor expenses and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and advancements in agricultural technology.
  • Conduct research to discover innovative methods for improving crop yield and soil health.
  • Implement new technologies and practices to boost productivity and sustainability.
  • Train employees on best practices and safety protocols.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective leadership.
  • Develop long-term strategies for crop rotation, soil health, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align agricultural operations with organizational objectives.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Address and resolve issues or concerns with external parties.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Maintain company equipment and facilities according to established standards.
  • Participate in safety committees and adhere to environmental health and safety policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in agricultural operations or farm management.
  • Strong knowledge of crop production practices and agricultural equipment.
  • Proficiency in agricultural software and technology.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain a CDL with proper endorsements within the first six months of employment.
  • Willingness to participate in required training related to company policies and position requirements.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to meet seasonal demands.
  • Physical capability to perform labor-intensive tasks and operate farming equipment.

Work Environment:
Occasional exposure to extreme weather conditions, noisy environments, and potential hazards associated with agricultural operations. Lifting requirements may include up to 70 lbs.
