Position Overview:

We are seeking a meticulous Procurement Coordinator to oversee the acquisition of materials and supplies essential for our manufacturing processes. This role requires effective collaboration with suppliers and the negotiation of procurement contracts. Key responsibilities include addressing issues with defective products, analyzing pricing structures, and approving purchase orders, as well as identifying alternative sources for necessary items. A comprehensive understanding of the products being procured and their applications is crucial. Additionally, the role involves supervising the inspection, logistics, and packaging of materials and equipment.

Working Schedule: Standard business hours, Monday through Friday

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong aptitude for mechanical systems
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and negotiate effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Quickbooks
  • Capability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and material lists
  • Strong interdepartmental communication skills
  • Familiarity with shipping documentation for both domestic and international transactions

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Purchasing or Business Administration preferred, or 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in the shipping and receiving of manufacturing components
  • APICS certification is a plus
