Job Summary

The Clinical Services Technician will play a critical role in our Ambulatory Care Centers, collecting pathology specimens and ensuring the registration, processing, and allocation of laboratory specimens and orders from all sources. This position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collect pathology specimens at Ambulatory Care Centers
  • Register, process, and allocate laboratory specimens and orders from all sources
  • Verify proper patient/specimen identification and appropriateness of specimen and accompanying orders
  • Organize laboratory workflow and prioritize processing and preparation of specimens for transport
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment and proper PAR levels of supplies
  • Utilize equipment, instruments, and computer systems to test, request, accession, label, and package specimens
  • Perform specified procedures within scope of established testing methods and responsibilities
  • Manage patient wait times and expectations using available computer systems and clear communication
  • Demonstrate service excellence by acknowledging customers in a friendly and professional manner, actively listening, responding with empathy, and showing pride in appearance and behavior

Requirements

  • 1 year of clinical experience as a Phlebotomist or equivalent education requirement
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Required - and Graduate Phlebotomy or Certificate from an Accredited Institution Preferred
  • Phlebotomy Preferred

Work Schedule

Varies, Monday through Friday, 7:30am - 5:30pm

Weekend and Call Requirements

No Weekends, No Call Requirements
