Business Accounting Manager

The Business Accounting Manager will serve as the liaison between accounting and programs to ensure that program leadership receives consistent and appropriate information that are crucial to the effective operations of each individual program. This position will assist with grant reporting and general ledger review. The Business Accounting Manager will promote the philosophy and mission of the agency by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Lead the accounting system budgeting process ensuring accurate reporting and effective communication with leadership.
- Provide benchmark reporting and strategic financial insights to leadership.
- Monitor and review expense allocations and general ledger entries regularly to ensure precision in reporting, financial accuracy.
- Supervise the preparation and review of monthly managed services accounting to ensure compliance with accounting standards and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare and review monthly accruals, bank reconciliations and accounting entries.
- Prepare or review regular reporting and documentation as required for individual programs, including grant vouchers, contract vouchers, and managed care billing.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the finance department to enhance overall financial operations.
- Analyze corporate financial data to generate internal reports for management and ensure accurate and consistent recordkeeping.
- Manage the preparation and reconciliation of provider payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
- Maintain an up-to-date listing of grant-funded positions and assist with grant-writing and reporting activities.
- Oversee the importation and reporting of payroll data, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- Create and implement procurement strategies and policies to enhance purchasing operations and align with organizational goals.
- Supervise accounts payable, purchasing and accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree, in Accountancy or a Business-related degree is strongly preferred.
- Minimum of five years prior experience in a financial reporting position or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of two years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role or capacity is preferred.
