Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Regional Sales Coordinator role is designed to offer comprehensive sales and marketing assistance to the regional team.


Key Interactions:

  • This position will report directly to the Regional Vice President.
  • Collaboration will occur with both internal and external stakeholders, including:
    • Internal: Marketing, technical operations, operational teams, and senior management.
    • External: Owner agencies, consulting engineers, contractors, suppliers, educational institutions, and industry associations.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Generate weekly and monthly sales reports for distribution among the Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Develop and maintain a dashboard tracking key sales metrics such as sales volumes, margins, transportation costs, and customer analysis.
  • Oversee the creation and tracking of bids within the eastern region.
  • Facilitate communication with both internal and external contacts.
  • Establish and maintain a monthly pricing matrix, including internal pricing, competitive pricing, and index postings.
  • Monitor commodity and specialty product sales against budget and forecasts.
  • Compile and distribute reports analyzing market competition.
  • Assist in resolving customer complaints by investigating issues, proposing solutions, and preparing reports for management review.
  • Support the Technical Marketing Manager in building and maintaining relationships with key personnel in state, district, and local specifying agencies.
  • Contribute to team objectives by achieving related results as necessary.
  • Help compile and communicate forecasts and current volume status.
  • Lead the input process for pricing adjustments.
  • Additional expectations include:
  1. Assisting at technical trade shows and conferences as required.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in marketing or business is preferred; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience in construction, transportation, energy, or government sectors is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn proprietary software programs as necessary.

Requirements:

  • Capability to sit or stand for extended periods and perform bending, stooping, and kneeling as needed.
  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment when required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
  • This role involves working in an office environment, performing clerical tasks, and occasionally working in a manufacturing plant setting with operational equipment in varying temperature conditions.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be necessary, not exceeding 15%.
