Job Description

Job Summary

Parker Hannifin Corporation Parker Aerospace Group is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead technical projects and teams within the Engineering department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and efficient completion of engineering projects, achieving company, customer, and product reliability and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical projects and teams, ensuring timely and efficient completion of engineering projects.
  • Develop project objectives by reviewing technical requirements and conferring with senior management.
  • Determine project responsibilities, staffing, and resource requirements, and ensure projects meet schedule commitments, cost results, and technical expectations.
  • Communicate and coordinate directly with senior technical representatives, including suppliers, customers, and government agencies.
  • Evaluate project specifications and proposals, identifying product and technology risks related to project cost and schedule.
  • Control project plans, costs, and schedules, monitoring and approving quotes and expenditures.
  • Maintain efforts within defined cost and schedule constraints, including statusing and root cause/corrective actions of associated variances.
  • Prepare and review technical project work, applying scientific and engineering principles and technical judgment.
  • Ensure consistent engineering standards, processes, and documentation methods are used in project deliverables.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and participating in professional associations.
  • Act as a consultant to management on technical and project-related matters, identifying mentoring and development needs, and serving as a mentor for other employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) or Professional Engineer (PE) Certificate in engineering or a science technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job, typically acquired through 7-9 years of related experience.
  • Significant industry experience in safety-critical, highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Thorough in-depth knowledge of engineering domain principles, industry practices, concepts, techniques, government regulations, and policies.
  • Strong facilitation and team building skills, with the ability to communicate with and influence varied audiences.
  • Ability to apply and integrate knowledge of other related engineering areas or experts to own area of expertise.
  • Proficient with software and specialized data analysis, design, and project management tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple or major project deliverables and provide technical direction to the team, customers, or suppliers at project milestones.
  • Ability to respond to significant inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or other internal teams.

Additional Information

This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident, or have refugee or asylee status.
