Project Engineer Intern

CRB is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer Intern to join our team. As a Project Engineer Intern, you will have the opportunity to work on real-world projects, learn from industry leaders, and gain valuable experience in the construction management field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, and coordination of construction projects, including developing project timelines, resource allocation, and work schedules.
  • Participate in site visits to monitor construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
  • Support the preparation and review of technical documents, including blueprints, drawings, and construction plans.
  • Work closely with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met, and communicate progress updates to the project team and other relevant parties.
Core Responsibilities
  • Bid Package Development: Assist in the preparation and review of bid packages, including developing bid documents and coordinating with contractors and suppliers.
  • Subcontractor Selection and Oversight: Support the selection and oversight of subcontractors, including reviewing bids and coordinating with project managers.
  • Submittal and RFI Review Process: Assist in the review and processing of submittals and RFIs, ensuring compliance with project specifications and safety standards.
  • Equipment Purchase and Installation Oversight: Support the purchase and installation of equipment, including coordinating with contractors and suppliers.
  • Construction Schedule Development: Assist in the development of construction schedules, including coordinating with project managers and contractors.
  • Estimate Development: Support the development of estimates, including reviewing bids and coordinating with project managers.
  • Site Safety: Assist in ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations, including coordinating with project managers and contractors.
  • Closeout Documentation: Support the preparation and review of closeout documentation, including coordinating with project managers and contractors.
  • Cost Management: Assist in the management of project costs, including reviewing estimates and coordinating with project managers.
Requirements
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or Construction Engineering.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote).
  • Interest in the Food & Beverage or Life Sciences industry.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop actionable insights.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with multiple disciplines and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and work on multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to real-world engineering applications.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Construction/Project Management tools and software.
  • Knowledge of construction safety practices and regulations.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in the Construction industry or related field.
