Position Overview:

Sound is seeking two (2) dedicated Residential Clinicians to join the Parks Place team. This position is pivotal in delivering therapeutic support to all individuals within the residential program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, developing treatment strategies, setting objectives, evaluating progress, maintaining clinical documentation, and overseeing a caseload of up to 32 residents. The successful candidates will collaborate closely with Keystone Case Managers to provide daily services that embody recovery principles, empowering clients to thrive in their community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct services including individual and group therapy, assessments, case management, care coordination, treatment planning, progress documentation, crisis intervention plans, behavior management plans, and monitoring of court orders and referrals.
  • Create and maintain treatment plans while ensuring clinical records are accurate and up-to-date in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Adhere to training and licensing standards as mandated by county regulations for Residential Treatment Facilities (RTF) and state guidelines for assisted living facilities (ALF).
  • Compile necessary reports, summaries, and progress notes, integrating them into clinical records.
  • Support clients in maintaining stability within the community, thereby minimizing the need for hospitalization or involuntary treatment.
  • Oversee medication management and ensure compliance with treatment protocols.
  • Evaluate service utilization and assess the effectiveness of outcome measures.
  • Engage in team meetings, consultations, case presentations, and training sessions.
  • Contribute to ongoing program development and evaluation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Master's degree in a Mental Health Professional eligible program is preferred; a Bachelor's degree with MHP designation is required.
  • Experience: Familiarity with case management, assessments, Motivational Interviewing, Harm Reduction Model, and Trauma-Informed Care is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to maintain appropriate boundaries with residents and staff while exercising sound judgment.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively under supervision and independently when necessary.
  • Proficient in crisis intervention techniques and managing potentially volatile situations.
  • Commitment to promoting and supporting recovery principles.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • Proven assessment capabilities to evaluate resident functioning.

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Mental Health Professional designation is required.
  • Must obtain and maintain a current Agency Affiliated Counselor license within the first month of employment.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check is mandatory.
  • A valid driver's license and insurable driving record are required.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications must be obtained within the first month of employment.
  • A Food Handlers Permit is required within the first month of employment.
  • Completion of the required Home Care Aid course and obtaining a license within the first five months of employment is necessary, along with 12 hours of continuing education annually.

Physical Requirements:

  • Regularly required to use hands and fingers for handling tasks; reach with hands and arms; and communicate verbally.
  • Frequent standing and sitting are required.
  • Occasional walking may be necessary.
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds or more with assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Engagement with vendors, team members, residents, and others is essential, both over the phone and in person.
