ASI-NE provides residential group homes and community support services to adults with intellectual disabilities and mental health diagnoses. Job description
The Administrative and Training Specialist advances the mission of the agency through implementation, oversight, and management of policies and procedures relating to this position, to aid Alternative Services NE Inc. (ASI-NE) in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
The Administrative and Training Specialist is accountable to the Human Resources Manager for the efficient exercise of the functions/tasks associated with this position.
This position is Full Time : Monday thru Friday 8am to 4pm
$18.50 TO $22.00 Hourly pay *** Rate of pay depending on experience
Educational Requirements:
- A minimum of two (2) years' work experience in community-based settings supporting persons with Mental Health and/or Intellectual Disabilities; Knowledge of residential services;
- Possession of a high school diploma/GED; experience in Residential Care is helpful, previous Administrative Assistant positions preferred.
- Has a sound understanding of the required training curriculums and attends state meetings as needed;
Must be positive, and have a willingness to learn.
Other Qualifications:
- Twenty-one years of age or greater; in good physical and emotional health; suitable to provide for the emotional, intellectual, physical, and social needs of consumers with disabilities.
- Assists in daily operations of ASI-NE office(s);
- Assures the office is open and closed in accordance with company posted office hours;
- Maintains security of office during the day and at the end of each day; operating knowledge of a variety of office equipment including but not limited to telephone, fax/copier, scanner, and postage meter;
- Must be well versed in electronic medical record keeping and Microsoft Office. Including, but not limited to: Outlook, Word, Excel, Power-Point, Access, as well as any other agency consumer electronic database systems.
- Must be able to meet physical expectations for position requirements, such as: ability to complete tasks that require sitting or standing, to include several hours each day of computer work, and answering telephones; Must be able to bend, reach, stoop and lift up to (25 - 50 lbs.) using proper body mechanics;
- Must be able to collaborate with administrative personnel and agency trainers to develop and revise training curriculums; research curriculum topics and assist in creating an engaging and meaningful learning environment;
- Must be able to read and comprehend agency written materials; Must be able to type with accuracy
- Ability to work cooperatively in a Team environment.
- Must have good communication skills, to include both verbal and written; Must have excellent organizational skills; Must be detail oriented; Prioritizes work assignments;
Additional Requirements: Greets consumers, vendors, employees and representatives from outside agency in a pleasant, receptive manner.
