Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL A Truck Driver to join our team at Cornerstone Building Brands. As a Delivery Specialist, you will be responsible for transporting and delivering our windows and doors to our dealers, distribution centers, and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver products to designated locations using a tractor-trailer truck, making single and multi-drop deliveries for Cornerstone Building Brands (PlyGem Windows)
  • Safely assist in the loading and unloading of products to customer locations and/or return products
  • Perform frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of windows and doors of varying weights
  • Drive truck to destinations in accordance with Federal regulations
  • Apply knowledge of commercial driving and skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather, or in tight loading dock areas
  • Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations, including driver logs, fuel purchases, mileage records, and other records required by law
  • Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all Federal, State, and local regulations for safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle
  • Able to answer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging, and material content. If unable to answer specific questions, direct customer to the appropriate contact
  • May perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Must possess a valid Class A CDL License, clean MVR, and current Medical Card
  • 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
  • Prior experience in the construction field is a plus
  • Ability to work independently or with a team
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
  • Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
  • Experience driving commercial/residential construction job sites
