Position Overview
The Multifamily LIHTC Asset Manager Senior Associate will oversee the management of an equity portfolio post-closing. This role is pivotal in nurturing relationships with syndicator partners throughout the lifecycle of LIHTC investments, including onboarding, development, construction, and operational phases.

Key Responsibilities
As a Multifamily LIHTC Asset Manager Senior Associate, you will:

  • Manage and cultivate relationships with syndicator partners during the development, construction, and operational stages of LIHTC investments.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of multifamily portfolio data, market conditions, legal agreements, financial statements, and cash flows to identify trends and derive actionable insights.
  • Address and resolve issues by sourcing and analyzing relevant information, presenting findings to management and stakeholders to mitigate financial and credit risks effectively.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of data, contributing to the automation of asset management processes.
  • Enhance procedures for monitoring and communicating credit risk across the organization.
  • Lead and support the formulation of action plans for non-routine projects, including regulatory compliance and internal audits.
  • Maintain a focus on personal development aligned with leadership criteria that support the goals of the organization.
  • Assist with various ad hoc projects as required.

Qualifications

Essential Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of the multifamily sector, including LIHTC asset management, affordable housing finance, and real estate transactions.
  • Experience in managing multifamily LIHTC/equity assets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across multiple business units.
  • Self-driven team player with a keen attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects efficiently.
  • Proficient analytical skills and adeptness in navigating various systems to manage data and generate reports.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.

Preferred Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in multifamily acquisition and disposition is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with equity or debt portfolio management software is a plus.
