- Call Disposition: Determine the best course of action for each call, making decisions on how to forward or resolve calls in accordance with our system's telephone standards.
- Communication: Collaborate with clinical staff to address concerns or questions related to calls, ensuring seamless communication and resolution.
- Outbound Calls: Make outbound calls to determine necessary actions, evaluate referrals, and recommend additional steps as needed.
- Documentation: Accurately document calls on our electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Resource and Guidance: Serve as a resource for patients and families, providing information and guidance on our services as needed.
- Patient Demographics: Maintain and update patient demographic information accurately in our computer database.
- Scheduling: Schedule appointments for new and return patients for all assigned providers, rescheduling as needed or requested.
- Message Taking: Take messages from physician lines and return calls or redirect as necessary.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent (required for hires after July 19, 2021); Medical Career Courses (preferred).
- Experience: Medical Office or Surgery Scheduling Experience; Good EMR experience (preferred).
