The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is seeking a dedicated Visitor Receptionist Support professional to assist our government client at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Badge Management: Issue and manage identification badges for employees and visitors, ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Security Software Operation: Operate and troubleshoot specialized security software systems, including the Medeco key system, to manage access and key distribution.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor and report on office supply inventories, distributing materials as needed and maintaining organized storage.
  • Visitor Accountability: Maintain records of all temporary and visitor identification, ensuring accurate documentation and destruction of expired credentials.
  • Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative assistance, including document preparation and event coordination for conferences and meetings.
  • Correspondence Management: Draft and review technical and non-technical communications for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Surveillance Monitoring: Oversee Closed Circuit Television systems and review footage as necessary to ensure security.
  • Key Control: Manage the inventory and distribution of furniture and facility keys, conducting regular audits as required.
  • Employee Orientation: Conduct security briefings for new employees to familiarize them with institutional protocols.
  • Safety Inspections: Perform routine safety inspections and report any violations to the appropriate office.
  • Threat Assessment Support: Assist in the documentation and analysis of security threats, providing recommendations for protective measures.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake other responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience, with at least two years in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Proficient in administrative support functions, including communication, record-keeping, and report preparation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with diverse personnel, including high-level officials.

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with DoD personnel security regulations and systems.
  • Experience with timekeeping and travel systems.

Citizenship and Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret security clearance.
