We are looking for a qualified Mid-Level Systems Engineer to join our team. The candidate can work in our offices.

Position Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity to support the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) and Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific in the digital transformation of the Naval Operational Architecture, model-based systems engineering of critical Naval cross-domain mission threads, and cybersecurity engineering of next-generation Naval information systems and tactical networks. Decision Technologies seeks motivated individuals with diverse skill sets and experience who can demonstrate a history of success in engineering services for the Navy or larger DoD.

Security Clearance Requirement: MUST HAVE AN ACTIVE SECRET OR TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, analyze, and provide recommendations in the development of engineering processes for Navy-related programs and projects.
  • Contribute to the review and analysis of architectures, specifications, standards, and Acquisition Engineering documentation, including DoDAF System Architecture documents, Performance and requirements specifications, Interface requirements, and Analysis of Alternatives study documents.
  • Conduct functional analysis of capabilities, ensuring consistent application of policies, requirements, standards, and processes, including developing technical assessments of programs, projects, and initiatives, drafting technical acquisition documentation, and creating engineering artifacts.
  • Develop models and perform simulations to support assessments and reviews of System of Systems (SoS) capabilities.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Three years of professional experience in systems engineering.
  • Experience in developing systems engineering requirements, architectures, or other artifacts for a DoD military system.
  • Ability to articulate the different phases of the Systems Engineering "V".
  • Demonstrated experience preparing for a Systems Engineering review, such as SRR, SFR, PDR, or CDR.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools, such as Cameo or MagicDraw.
  • Experience in developing modeling schemas, ontologies, and model dictionaries.
  • Experience working within various modeling frameworks, such as DoDAF, UAF, or organization-specific custom frameworks.
  • Familiarity with DoD DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Experience with software development tools and test pipelines.
  • Familiarity with containerization platforms.
  • Experience with Navy radars, electro-optical and infrared sensors, and other warfare systems.

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to various Naval activity centers.
