We are looking for a qualified Mid-Level Systems Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have the option to work in our offices.

Position Overview:

This role presents an exciting opportunity to support the Naval Information Warfare Systems Command (NAVWAR) and Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Pacific, focusing on the digital transformation of the Naval Operational Architecture, model-based systems engineering for critical Naval cross-domain mission threads, and cybersecurity engineering for next-generation Naval information systems and tactical networks. Decision Technologies is in search of motivated individuals with diverse skill sets and experience who can showcase a history of success in engineering services for the Navy or the broader Department of Defense.

Active Security Clearance Required:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate, analyze, and provide recommendations in the development of engineering processes for Navy-related initiatives.
  • Contribute to the review and analysis of architectures, specifications, standards, and Acquisition Engineering documentation, including DoDAF System Architecture documents, performance specifications, interface requirements, and Analysis of Alternatives study documents.
  • Conduct functional analyses of capabilities, ensuring consistent application of policies, requirements, standards, and processes, which includes developing technical assessments, drafting technical acquisition documentation, and producing engineering artifacts.
  • Create models and execute simulations to support assessments and reviews of System of Systems (SoS) capabilities.

Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of professional experience in systems engineering.
  • Experience in developing systems engineering requirements, architectures, or related artifacts for a Department of Defense military system.
  • Ability to articulate the various phases of the Systems Engineering "V" model.
  • Proven experience preparing for Systems Engineering reviews, such as SRR, SFR, PDR, or CDR.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering tools, such as Cameo or MagicDraw.
  • Experience in developing modeling schemas, ontologies, and model dictionaries.
  • Knowledge of various modeling frameworks, including DoDAF, UAF, or organization-specific custom frameworks.
  • Experience with DoD DevSecOps pipelines.
  • Familiarity with software development tools and testing pipelines.
  • Experience with containerization platforms.
  • Knowledge of Navy radars, electro-optical and infrared sensors, and other warfare systems.

Travel Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel to various Naval activity centers as needed.
