Key Responsibilities

Lead the energy transition

We are seeking a Power Systems Engineer to contribute to our Energy Resources division, focusing on renewable energy initiatives, including solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Your contributions will include:
  • Engaging in various aspects of preliminary and detailed electrical design related to generation, transmission, and distribution, encompassing substations for solar, wind, and battery energy storage systems, their integration into the electrical grid, underground distribution systems, and industrial electrical applications.
  • Conducting reviews of substation and collection system designs.
  • Participating in the EPC RFP process and developing equipment specifications.
  • Creating and reviewing layouts for solar and BESS projects.
  • Defining initial design concepts for substations and overseeing the review or creation of comprehensive designs, including layouts, elevations, single-line and three-line diagrams, DC and AC control schematics, wiring connections, cable schedules, and raceway organization.
  • Drafting technical specifications for essential electrical components to meet client requirements and comply with current standards.
  • Assessing proposals, specifications, and drawings from suppliers.
  • Ensuring timely completion of assigned projects while meeting quality and budgetary goals.
  • Designing and reviewing Single Line Diagrams using AutoCAD.
Qualifications

What you bring:
  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with at least five years of relevant experience (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience in preparing layouts, elevation views, installation details, grounding, lighting, cable trays, and conduit layout drawings.
  • Proven expertise in utilizing analytical tools and software prevalent in the industry.
  • A strong focus on customer service, both internally and externally.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to operate outside of your comfort zone.
  • A proactive approach to learning new technologies and engineering practices.
