Key Responsibilities

Lead the energy evolution

We are seeking a Power Systems Engineer to contribute to our Energy Resources division, focusing on renewable energy initiatives, including solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

Your impact will include:
  • Engaging in various phases of electrical design related to generation, transmission, and distribution, encompassing substations for solar, wind, and battery systems, their integration into the electrical grid, and underground distribution systems.
  • Conducting design reviews for substations and collection systems.
  • Participating in the EPC RFP process and defining equipment specifications.
  • Developing and reviewing layouts for solar and BESS projects.
  • Drafting initial design concepts for substations and overseeing the creation of detailed designs, including layouts, elevations, single-line and three-line diagrams, control schematics, wiring connections, cable schedules, and raceway organization.
  • Creating technical specifications for essential electrical components to fulfill customer requirements while adhering to current standards.
  • Assessing vendor proposals, specifications, and drawings.
  • Ensuring timely completion of projects while meeting quality and budget goals.
  • Designing and reviewing Single Line Diagrams using AutoCAD.
Qualifications

Essential skills and experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with at least five years of relevant experience (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proficiency in preparing layouts, elevation views, installation details, grounding, lighting, cable trays, and conduit layout drawings.
  • Strong understanding of analytical tools and software utilized in the industry.
  • Excellent customer service skills, both internal and external.
  • Attention to detail and willingness to step outside of comfort zones.
  • Proactive approach to learning new technologies and engineering concepts.
