Senior Faculty Director for HSI STEM Initiatives

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Faculty Director for HSI STEM Initiatives to join our team at the Chicano Studies Research Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading cross-disciplinary campus-wide efforts to advance UCLA's HSI goals and the mission of inclusion in STEM at all academic levels.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive vision for HSI STEM initiatives that focus on undergraduate education
- Foster a sense of community among STEM scholars and lead staff and faculty in the pursuit and acquisition of HSI STEM grants from federal and philanthropic sources
- Collaborate with Latinx communities and/or private sector industry to develop multidisciplinary pathway programs in STEM
- Articulate a vision for nurturing an inclusive community across STEM for Latinx scholars, with an emphasis on Latinas and gender minorities in STEM-related fields
- Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in any relevant discipline
- Outstanding record of scholarship and demonstrated excellence in any STEM-related academic discipline
- Experience with developing multidisciplinary pathway programs in STEM and leading programs that support equity and inclusion in STEM education
- Successful track record in acquiring intra- and extra-mural funding
- Competitive salary range of $92,500 – $215,800
