Key Responsibilities
  • Faculty Development Program Design and Delivery: Develop, present, and assess faculty development and training programs to support online and blended academic instruction.
  • Needs Assessment and Planning: Participate in the review and assessment of online and blended faculty development needs and provide guidance to academic leaders during the faculty development plan process.
  • Resource Planning and Management: Plan for the appropriate resources of the department and ensure effective use of faculty development tools and technologies.
  • Training and Coaching: Plan and provide training, coaching, and mentoring of faculty and other team members, and stakeholders to support faculty development and training objectives.
  • Learning Outcomes and Assessment: Ensure expected learning outcomes correspond to faculty development and training objectives and curriculum.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Administer the creation, maintenance, and auditing of faculty professional development reports and software, including TeachPoint FPD tracking SaaS and MaxKnowledge.
  • Webinar and Learning Experience Development: Develop, staff, archive, and manage the creation of webinars and other learning experiences as needed for inclusion in the online and blended faculty web portal.
  • Self-Guided Learning Resources: Plan and produce self-guided learning resources and work collaboratively with the director and faculty to curate and produce a periodic, faculty development electronic newsletter.
  • Instructor and Course Management: Serve as an Instructor and manage the FTC-101, FTC-101T, and FTC-102 course enrollment process.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience planning, teaching, tracking, and assessing all modalities of instruction and teaching in the Blackboard or other learning management systems and video conferencing platforms.
  • Collaboration and Project Management: Demonstrated collaborative team skills and ability to manage projects and lead highly effective faculty development experiences.
  • Technology and Instructional Strategies: Proven ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technology and implement instructional strategies.
  • Dashboard, Survey, and Gamification Software: Demonstrated experience using dashboard, survey/polling, gamification software, education technologies, and the Microsoft 360 suite of applications to collect, track, and report data.
  • Design and Editing: Experience in the design and editing of images, infographics, websites, videos, audio recordings, and animations with the Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro) and Adobe Spark.
  • Continuous Improvement: Ability to implement new processes, procedures, and standards in an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Travel and Regional Work: Ability to travel/drive locally and regionally on an as needed basis.
Education and Certifications
  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in Education, Higher Education Leadership, Distance Education, Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Technology, or close related field required.
Compensation
  • Salary: Outside of CA: $66, $96,966.26; Within CA: $76, $110,439.69
