The Department of Pediatrics at Cedars-Sinai Guerin Children's is on the lookout for a mid-career Research Scientist to become part of a pioneering Center dedicated to Developmental and Stem Cell Biology. Candidates should possess a robust track record of significant publications in these domains.
Research Focus:
This Center is committed to unraveling the essential principles of development and regeneration through the use of both animal models and human tissues. It plays a pivotal role in the expansion of Guerin Children's initiatives. Faculty members will collaborate closely with the Regenerative Medicine Institute, as well as the Departments of Computational Biomedicine and Biomedical Sciences, among other relevant entities on campus. We are particularly interested in basic research scientists and clinician-scientists specializing in:
- Early embryogenesis
- Organogenesis
- Tissue stem cell biology
- Adult regeneration

Compensation Philosophy:
We provide a competitive total compensation package that encompasses salary, benefits, and various incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range reflects a variety of factors considered in compensation decisions, including knowledge, skills, relevant experience, and educational qualifications. This total pay range includes any applicable incentive payments. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package for faculty members.
Pay Range: $148,928 - $450,008 Total Cash Compensation
Qualifications:
- Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree
- A minimum of seven (7) years of post-PhD experience in a relevant research field
- An established international reputation in research
- A commitment to enhancing equity, diversity, and inclusion in higher education
- Eligibility for appointment at the appropriate rank in the CSMC Professorial Series
