Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SALT Supervising Senior Tax professional to enhance our dynamic finance practice. This role is designed for an individual with a robust background in state and local taxation who is eager to advance their career in a leadership capacity. The successful candidate will oversee tax associates, provide mentorship, and contribute to tax planning and compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
As a SALT Supervising Senior Tax professional, your primary duties will include:

1. Overseeing the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable tax laws.
2. Mentoring and guiding tax associates to cultivate a constructive and efficient work environment.
3. Developing tax planning strategies aimed at minimizing liabilities while enhancing client satisfaction.
4. Ensuring timely and accurate submission of tax documents and returns.
5. Staying informed on the latest developments in SALT regulations to provide expert advice to clients and team members.
6. Facilitating training sessions for tax associates to bolster their expertise and capabilities.
7. Collaborating with colleagues to deliver exceptional tax services.

Qualifications:
To qualify for the SALT Supervising Senior Tax position, candidates should possess:

1. At least 5 years of experience in tax accounting, particularly in state and local taxation.
2. Proven leadership experience in supervising tax professionals, emphasizing mentorship.
3. In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax regulations.
4. Strong tax planning acumen, with the ability to devise effective strategies.
5. Excellent communication skills to articulate complex tax issues clearly.
6. A strong commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
7. Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple priorities effectively.
8. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline; CPA certification is preferred.
