The Role:

Managers within our State & Local Tax (SALT) division are responsible for overseeing and executing tax initiatives, delivering innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to a diverse clientele, from Fortune 500 companies to emerging startups.

  • Engage in business development activities, including proposal creation and participation in webinars;
  • Collaborate with Federal Tax Compliance Teams to devise a comprehensive multi-jurisdictional tax strategy;
  • Review state and local income tax filings;
  • Provide assistance during tax audits and controversies;
  • Lead consulting projects and identify solutions for clients;
  • Stay informed on legislative changes through ongoing research;
  • Analyze memoranda and other client documents;
  • Prepare and evaluate Nexus Studies;
  • Supervise, mentor, train, and evaluate team members, including Seniors, Associates, and Interns.
The Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in an accounting firm, with at least 3 years focused on Income Tax;
  • Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (Preferred);
  • Advanced certification enabling client representation before the IRS (e.g., CPA or JD);
  • Self-driven, with the ability to seize opportunities and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment;
  • Proficient in leveraging technology.

Candidates must possess current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
