As a key member of our State and Local Tax (SALT) practice, you will be responsible for delivering innovative sales and use tax planning ideas to our diverse client base.
Key Responsibilities- Lead complex tax engagements and provide expert guidance on tax law changes in various states.
- Develop and implement sales and use tax planning strategies to drive business growth and minimize tax liabilities.
- Mentor and develop staff and managers in tax technical and client-facing skillsets.
- Stay up-to-date on tax law changes and provide written communications on key issues and changes to the firm and clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- CPA, CMI, or JD.
- 7+ years of state and local tax experience in a public accounting firm with a focus on indirect (sales & use) tax compliance and consulting.
- Proven ability to manage, mentor, and develop staff and managers.
- Master's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Strong relationship management and practice development skills.
- Ability to attract and service new clients and expand services to existing clients.
