The Role:

Managers within our State & Local Tax (SALT) division lead and implement tax initiatives, delivering innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to a varied clientele, from Fortune 500 companies to emerging startups.

  • Participate in business development activities (such as creating proposals, engaging in webinars);
  • Collaborate with Federal Tax Compliance Teams to formulate a comprehensive multi-jurisdictional tax strategy;
  • Review state and local income tax filings;
  • Assist during tax controversy examinations;
  • Drive consulting engagements and identify client solutions;
  • Stay informed on legislative updates through research;
  • Analyze memoranda and other client documents;
  • Prepare and evaluate Nexus Studies;
  • Oversee, mentor, train, and evaluate Seniors, Associates, and Interns.
The Requirements:
  • 4+ years of relevant experience in an accounting firm, with at least 3 years in Income Tax;
  • Bachelor's and/or advanced degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline (Preferred);
  • Advanced certification enabling client representation before the IRS (e.g., CPA or JD);
  • Self-driven, capitalizing on opportunities with the capability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment;
  • Proficient in leveraging technology.

Candidates must possess current authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
