Position Overview:
We are seeking a Permanent SALT Supervising Senior Tax professional to take on a pivotal role within our dynamic finance firm. This position is tailored for an individual with a robust background in state and local taxation, ready to advance their career. The successful candidate will oversee tax associates, provide mentorship, and engage in tax planning and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Permanent SALT Supervising Senior Tax professional, your primary duties will include:
1. Overseeing and reviewing the preparation of federal and state tax returns to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
2. Leading and mentoring tax associates, promoting a constructive and efficient work atmosphere.
3. Assisting in the development of tax planning strategies aimed at minimizing tax liabilities while enhancing client satisfaction.
4. Ensuring timely and accurate filing of tax returns and related documents.
5. Staying informed on current SALT tax laws and regulations to provide knowledgeable guidance to clients and team members.
6. Offering training and development opportunities to tax associates to bolster their expertise.
7. Collaborating with colleagues to ensure the delivery of high-quality tax services.
Qualifications:
To qualify for the Permanent SALT Supervising Senior Tax position, candidates should possess:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, particularly in state and local taxation.
2. Proven supervisory experience with a focus on leadership and mentorship.
3. In-depth knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
4. Strong tax planning capabilities, with a track record of developing effective strategies.
