Position Overview:
The Associate IT Security Specialist will play a crucial role in supporting the information security obligations associated with eDiscovery and Legal Hold processes. This position involves managing cloud and on-premises identity and access management systems as well as data storage systems, ensuring that operational tasks are executed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established workflows and procedures while utilizing eDiscovery tools.
  • Possess a solid understanding of Encase and related technologies.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues encountered during job execution.
  • Handle data processing, loading, and exporting using various eDiscovery tools such as Relativity, Proofpoint, and Veritas Discovery Accelerator.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of forensic tools, data encryption, and electronic discovery processes.
  • Manage the receipt and tracking of media, including internal and external hard drives.
  • Understand data preservation and maintain the chain of custody.
  • Organize file transfers and shipments efficiently.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of the EDRM model.
  • Format search terms and conduct structured analytics.
  • Possess a solid grasp of eDiscovery and litigation support.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an eDiscovery role within law firms, corporate legal departments, or eDiscovery service providers.
  • Effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and client relationship skills.
  • Understand database design and legal document review requirements.
  • Coordinate security requirements across Technology Risk & Security Management teams.
  • Take ownership of technical requests and ensure high accuracy in task execution.
  • Track and plan deliverables appropriately.
  • Escalate security risks or concerns to management as necessary.
  • Plan and track assigned projects and key task dates.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with company standards.

Examples of Responsibilities Post-Onboarding:

  • Conduct OIM Quarterly Audits.
  • Monitor Daily Relativity Security Alerts.
  • Perform Monthly Relativity User Audits.
  • Manage Legal Hold Home Drive Preservations.
  • Oversee Legal Hold Laptop Imaging/Preservations.
  • Configure new workspaces.
  • Facilitate File Share Collection (Data Requests).
  • Handle Relativity User Access (Security Requests).
  • Conduct Quarterly Workspace Audits and archival.
  • Manage Document Imaging tasks.
  • Address off-hours changes and validation requests.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent eDiscovery work experience.
  • Experience with Relativity or other eDiscovery platforms.
  • Familiarity with Encase and forensic tools; experience with M365 Purview Platform is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Exhibit integrity and sound judgment.
  • Effective communication skills with customers, peers, and management.

Compensation and Benefits:

The expected salary range for this position is $53,970 - $89,960 USD annually, along with various incentive opportunities based on performance.
