Key Position Details:

  • 1.0 FTE, 8-hour day shifts and no weekends
  • Position will be based out of the Security Training Center at the 10th Avenue facility next to Abbott Northwestern Hospital
  • There will be some travel to other hospital locations based on business needs - company squad will be provided

Job Description:

Assists in organizing curriculum and competency assessments. Supports the development and selection of course content and materials for training programs to align with the organization's Corporate Security standards.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Assists in creating and delivery of training program curriculum.
    • Assists in creating the training courses, curriculum and competency assessments for new employee orientation.
    • Supports development and maintenance of training materials
    • Helps measure curriculum and course effectiveness, recommends and implements program
    • Assists with the development and maintenance of the training program(s).
    • Maintains training records in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Analyzes training needs and required program content.
    • Analyzes and documents training requirements for security and changes impacting officer standards.
    • Designs, develops and customizes training.
    • Implements, modifies, test and administers training plans.
    • Conducts reviews and revises existing training.
    • Identifies, defines and documents business processes in need of training improvement and implementation.
  • Maintains training space.
    • Ensures training space and equipment is safe and working at optimum efficiency in accordance to standards.
    • Maintains inventory of equipment, maintenance and cleaning schedules.
  • Coordinates training.
    • Coordinates, schedules and maintains training programs and courses for Corporate Security.
    • Ensures courses are updated timely to align with system security goals and standards.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Vocational degree in Human Resources, Learning and Development, Education or relevant field
  • 0 to 2 years in leading, developing and scheduling training programs in classrooms or training facilities and evaluating and assessing program content or other relevant experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, learning and development, education or related field
  • 0 to 2 years experience in security or law enforcement training content and standards

Licenses/Certifications

  • Valid Driver's License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver's license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment
  • Taser or Electronic Immobilization Device Instructor by AXON within 1 Year required
  • Defensive Tactics Instructor within 1 Year required
  • Chemical Irritant Instructor within 1 Year required
