Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Communications Team Manager to join our Global Service Compliance (GSC) team supporting Amazon's Project Kuiper. Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to underserved communities around the world.

About the Role

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about technology, enjoys being continually challenged, and demonstrates sound judgment even in ambiguous situations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in regulatory compliance and experience managing teams executing legal and/or regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop out-of-this-world strategies for handling compliance obligations in creative, business-centric ways that allow Kuiper to move quickly.
  • Lead a team of individuals that will act as a primary point of contact for communications authorities.
  • Foster deep subject matter expertise in communications service provider regulations for your team and drive a high sense of urgency to optimize mechanisms necessary to meet global communications service provider compliance communications obligations.
  • Maintain an up-to-date view of Kuiper's communications service provider obligations, the Kuiper business, and the relevant communication authority regimes in terms of new obligations or considerations that impact Kuiper's compliance.
  • Ensure early escalation and visibility for immediate problem solving across your program.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience managing team(s) executing legal and/or regulatory requirements.
  • 5+ years experience interfacing with regulators and their administrators.
  • 3+ years experience public speaking, presenting, or interacting regularly with external stakeholders on behalf of a large business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in operationalizing or assessing regulatory compliance obligations.
  • Familiarity with the global telecommunications regulatory landscape.
  • Strong cross-functional problem-solving skills and ability to influence without authority.
  • Addresses issues head-on prioritizing urgent and important matters.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills supporting communication at top leadership levels.
  • Bi- or multi-linguistic is preferred.
