Role Overview

The President's Office is looking for a seasoned professional to lead impactful corporate communication initiatives. This role will be based in Bellevue, Washington, and will focus on:

1) Enhancing Employee Engagement: Cultivate a vibrant community and a sense of belonging among employees across our international offices.

2) Strengthening Corporate Brand Identity: Effectively communicate our mission, values, and initiatives to enhance TPCi's reputation as a leading employer and purpose-driven organization.

3) Managing Crisis Communications: Collaborate with the crisis management team to safeguard TPCi's brand image for both internal and external stakeholders.

You will lead a dedicated team located in Bellevue and London, reporting to the Chief of Staff and Head of Corporate Development, while working closely with the President and Executive team. Collaboration with various departments such as People, DEI & CSR, Legal, Marketing, and brand leaders will be essential.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities are divided into three primary areas:

1) Internal Corporate Communications Leadership
  • Employee Experience Advocate: Develop a thorough understanding of TPCi's brand, culture, and employee perceptions to create effective communication that enhances the employee experience.
  • Internal Communication Strategist: Lead corporate communications to amplify the company vision and objectives in alignment with core values, working directly with executives to identify communication needs.
  • Global Communication Architect: Implement global best practices to enhance communication channels and tools, ensuring effective messaging reaches employees.
  • Team Leader and Coach: Build a high-performing corporate communications team, guiding them in developing internal communication standards.
  • Operational Efficiency Champion: Drive improvements in operational communication processes to ensure timely stakeholder updates.
  • Data-Driven Approach: Utilize metrics to assess the effectiveness of internal communication initiatives.
  • Global Collaboration: Work with the Pokémon Company Japan PR team to ensure consistent messaging.
2) External Communications Leadership
  • Company Advocacy: Oversee all external corporate communication channels to ensure alignment with company values and achievements.
  • Employer Branding & Storytelling: Develop a communication strategy that highlights TPCi's legacy and commitment to social responsibility.
3) Crisis Communications Leadership
  • Protecting TPCi's Reputation: Collaborate with the crisis management team and key stakeholders during critical events to manage public perception.
