About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Checker at H-E-B. As a Checker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing customer transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide superior customer service, ensuring that every customer interaction is positive and memorable.
  • Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card payments, and other forms of payment.
  • Operate a cash register, handle customer complaints, and resolve issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the checkout lanes, shelves, and stockroom.
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time to meet productivity standards.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve sales goals, promote products, and maintain a positive store atmosphere.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 35 pounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
