Job Overview:
The Senior Financial Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in delivering essential insights into financial performance. Collaborating with finance team members, this position aids management in comprehending and evaluating financial outcomes.

This role involves handling extensive datasets, necessitating advanced analytical skills and proficiency in financial analysis tools to extract valuable insights.

The position combines accounting expertise with analytical, functional, and technical abilities to devise and execute innovative solutions that foster ongoing process enhancements.

Additionally, this role supports strategic initiatives and various finance transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough monthly analyses of financial performance.
Assist in reconciling contract and claims activities across systems.
Facilitate monthly accounts receivable portfolio analysis and reporting.
Oversee Accounts Receivable Portfolio Aging assessments.
Prepare the Accounts Receivable Executive Package for monthly reviews.
Manage the monthly Allowance for Doubtful Accounts (AFDA) calculations.

Contribute to the development, implementation, and upkeep of financial reports and dashboards, ensuring alignment with user requirements and management controls.

Design tools and models to deliver crucial financial and operational insights, providing actionable recommendations for both strategic and operational decisions.

Support the continuous improvement of financial reporting and general ledger systems, enhancing financial close processes and reconciliation activities; drive efficiency and leverage technical capabilities to streamline operations.

Oversee business application management for financial platforms, ensuring effective administration, report creation, and user training.

Act as the subject matter expert for financial reporting and budgeting platforms, assisting with features such as consolidation processes and ad hoc reporting.

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of business finance reporting requirements, including GAAP and tax compliance, and how users utilize this information for operational functions.

Ensure effective execution of corporate business system projects within established timelines and budgets.

Provide training and support to end users on critical functionalities for financial data analysis and reporting.

Drive finance and accounting process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
Assist with ad hoc reporting requests from senior management.
Support annual financial audits and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with IT and provide assistance for other corporate business systems as needed.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a corporate reporting environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial close processes related to consolidation, budgeting, and reporting.
Experience in data analytics is essential.
Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, or similar platforms is advantageous.
Advanced Excel skills are necessary for managing large datasets.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills are required, with direct interaction with senior management.

Demonstrated ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, recommending and implementing process improvements while managing multiple tasks effectively.

Energetic, self-motivated, and capable of analyzing complex issues and making timely decisions.
Experience with financial platforms is a strong advantage.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Successful completion of a background check is required.
