POSITION OVERVIEW

The Senior Financial Analyst - Customer & Product Strategy plays a crucial role as a strategic partner to commercial and category leaders, offering extensive financial analysis to facilitate informed business decisions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the financial representative for sales and category leaders, delivering strategic financial insights that enhance decision-making.
  • Oversee financial analysis for new product introductions, including capital expenditure assessments, pricing strategies, profitability evaluations, and customer ramp-up volumes.
  • Manage financial planning and analysis for product transitions, ensuring financial objectives are met with minimal disruption and inventory challenges.
  • Conduct thorough portfolio evaluations to assess the profitability of customer segments, fulfillment methods, and product categories, identifying growth and optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with various teams across the organization on cost-saving initiatives and margin improvement strategies to enhance overall financial performance.
  • Assist in managing trade investments and promotional expenditures, ensuring optimal resource allocation for maximum return on investment.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, emphasizing financial trends, forecasts, and strategic opportunities.
  • Lead scenario planning meetings for commercial and category strategies, including the preparation of P&L statements for both customer and category perspectives.
  • Own the forecasting process for sales and margins of product lines across categories and sales channels down to the contribution margin level.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting cycles by utilizing industry and POS data, incorporating assumptions into projections.
  • Become a proficient user of SAP Analytics Cloud in relation to gross margin reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; a Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis or a similar capacity, ideally within a commercial or product-focused setting.
  • Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
  • Experience with Power BI is preferred.
  • Strong analytical capabilities with a proven track record of navigating complex data and delivering insightful, actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating effectively with leaders and teams across various business functions.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools, as well as ERP systems and standard office software.
  • Experience in consumer goods, retail, or a similar dynamic industry is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • General office environment.
