Job Overview:
The Senior Financial Data Analyst plays a pivotal role in delivering essential insights into financial performance. Collaborating with finance team members, this position aids management in comprehending and interpreting financial outcomes.

This role involves managing extensive datasets, necessitating advanced analytical skills and proficiency with financial analysis tools to yield valuable insights.

The position combines accounting knowledge with analytical, functional, and technical expertise to devise and execute innovative solutions that foster ongoing process enhancements.

This role also contributes to strategic initiatives and various finance transformation projects.

Job Responsibilities:
Facilitate comprehensive monthly analysis of financial outcomes.
Assist in reconciling contract and claims activities across financial systems.
Support the monthly analysis and reporting of accounts receivable portfolios.
Conduct aging analysis of accounts receivable portfolios.
Prepare executive reports for monthly accounts receivable operations review.
Manage monthly allowances for doubtful accounts.

Assist in the development, deployment, and upkeep of financial reports and dashboards, including gathering user requirements and constructing reports per specifications while adhering to management controls.

Develop tools and models to furnish critical financial and operational insights, offering actionable recommendations on strategy and operations.

Support the continuous improvement and enhancement of financial reporting and general ledger systems, as well as related financial close and data reconciliation processes; drive process enhancements and utilize technical capabilities to simplify financial close activities.

Oversee business application administration and maintenance for financial platforms, including managing metadata structures, application instances, report creation, and user access.

Act as the subject matter expert for financial reporting and budgeting platforms, supporting features such as consolidation processes, ad hoc reporting, and financial planning.

Maintain a comprehensive understanding of business finance reporting requirements, including GAAP, special purpose, consolidations, and tax compliance, and how users utilize this information.

Provide oversight for corporate business system projects to ensure timely and budget-compliant execution.

Support end users with training and essential functionalities to facilitate financial data analysis and reporting.

Contribute to finance and accounting process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial reporting.
Assist with ad hoc reporting requests from executive leadership.
Support annual financial audits and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with IT and provide assistance to other corporate business systems as needed.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management Information Systems, or equivalent required.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a corporate reporting environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial close processes related to consolidation, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
Experience in data analytics is essential.
Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Snowflake, or consolidation platforms preferred.
Advanced Excel skills are necessary for handling large datasets.
Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Excellent organizational, analytical, conceptual, and communication skills are required. This position will interact directly with executive leadership.

Capability to operate in a dynamic environment, recommend and implement process improvements, work independently, and manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines is essential.

Self-motivated and energetic.
Ability to analyze complex issues and make timely decisions.
Experience with financial platforms is a strong advantage.
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Must successfully pass a background check.
