Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Management Professional to join our team. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for implementing, participating in, and monitoring safety training-related activities of utility line clearance crews. Your primary focus will be on assessing workplace hazards, determining risks, and providing solutions in an effective, timely, and cost-effective manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct safety audits, including job site set-up, hazard evaluations, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the Regional Safety Action Plan
  • Investigate personal injury, vehicle, and property accidents
  • Assist with the filing of reports and compiling accident statistics on risk assessment
  • Provide technical support for all corporate and regional training programs
  • Develop and implement a continuous program of safety education, policies, and programs
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, ANSI, Federal, State, and local regulations
  • Conduct inspections of sites and vehicles to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations/standards

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, HSE, or GED
  • Basic knowledge of trees, including identification, growth habits, and correct arboricultural techniques
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and DOT requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in Line clearance, tree trimming Industry or related field in a leadership position
  • Certified Tree Worker Safety Professional (CTSP) or ability to obtain within one (6) months of employment
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve and work within Union and Non-Union workforce
  • Meet all physical requirements of the position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates/bachelor's in safety-related field
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • CDL
  • MED Card
  • Certified Tree Worker Safety Professional
