Chief Operating Officer

Join the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore as we seek a highly skilled and experienced Chief Operating Officer to lead our food sourcing, warehousing, and distribution efforts. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute multi-year strategic plans for food sourcing, warehousing, and distribution
  • Lead the development of annual work plans and budgets for the Operations Department
  • Oversee the maintenance of the Foodbank's fleet and warehouse equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including OSHA and food safety standards
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize operational performance
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in public/business administration, management, human services, or related fields
  • Minimum five years of management experience in a related field
  • Experience with inventory management software and a high level of computer mastery
  • Excellent public speaking and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with people from all backgrounds
