AdventHealth Littleton has been dedicated to serving the vibrant south metro Denver community since 1989. We provide comprehensive care that is rooted in faith, addressing essential health needs through innovative services in neurology, orthopedics, cardiology, and urology, along with specialized units such as the BirthPlace and neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Our facility is recognized for its excellence in emergency and trauma services, neurosciences, and more, maintaining a commitment to safety, sustainability, and outstanding clinical performance.
Your Role and Contributions:
The Neurodiagnostic Technologist II is a key mid-level specialist role responsible for conducting procedures aligned with their expertise, adhering to facility policies and protocols. This includes:
- Applying electrodes in accordance with ACNS guidelines.
- Conducting prescribed diagnostic tests.
- Possibly performing video EEG monitoring in specialized units.
- Reviewing patient histories and educating patients about procedures.
- Monitoring and documenting patient conditions, responding to and reporting any adverse reactions.
- Identifying and correcting artifacts during testing.
- Editing and forwarding results to attending physicians for further analysis.
- Scoring, graphing, analyzing, documenting, and reporting results of diagnostic procedures.
- Participating in on-call duties as per departmental policies.
- Assisting in the training of Tech I and students.
Qualifications and Expertise Required:
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
- Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited Neurodiagnostic Program or an Associate's Degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in a patient care environment performing relevant procedures.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Successful completion of the examination and attainment of credentials appropriate to the modality of practice (e.g., R. EEGT. or r. EPT.).
