Position Summary

The Indirect Procurement Specialist will oversee the sourcing and acquisition of indirect goods and services, which encompass IT, marketing, travel, facilities, and professional services. Key responsibilities include working closely with internal teams to formulate category strategies that enhance value, quality, and efficiency, while managing supplier relationships and ensuring adherence to company policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with internal stakeholders to comprehend business objectives, needs, and challenges, aligning them with the overall supply chain strategy.
  • Formulate and execute category strategies for indirect goods and services, leveraging market research and best practices.
  • Negotiate supplier contracts to secure favorable terms, service levels, and pricing.
  • Monitor supplier performance and relationships, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Process purchase orders while tracking category spending, savings, and performance metrics, identifying further optimization opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards, managing supplier audits and assessments.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and best practices, providing insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of supply chain processes and tools.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Contribute to team objectives by achieving related results as needed.
  • Safeguard the confidentiality of company information and products.
  • Report any security breaches related to IT or infrastructure promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.

Experience:

  • Proven experience in executing a global indirect purchasing strategy.
  • Expertise in managing an indirect supply base and fostering partnerships to meet company needs.
  • Proficient in procuring various goods and services, including CAPEX, MRO, and software.
  • Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Experience in onboarding and managing suppliers for optimal performance.
  • Track record of developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Familiarity with Request for Quotations (RFQs).
  • Experience in expediting purchasing orders for timely delivery.
  • Knowledge of managing blanket purchase orders.
  • Capability to maintain appropriate inventory levels.
  • Experience in tracking shipments and providing updates to stakeholders.

Skills:

  • Proficient in software applications (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).
  • Strong data analysis skills.
  • Contract negotiation expertise.
  • Project management capabilities.
  • Effective time management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • 1+ years of relevant experience.

Additional Information:

  • Extended or irregular hours may be required.

Compensation and Benefits:

Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 annually
