Position Summary
The Indirect Procurement Specialist will oversee the acquisition of indirect goods and services, which encompass IT, marketing, travel, facilities, and professional services. The role involves working closely with internal teams to formulate category strategies that optimize value, quality, and efficiency, while managing supplier relationships and ensuring adherence to company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with internal stakeholders to comprehend business objectives and challenges, aligning them with the overarching supply chain strategy.
- Formulate and execute category strategies for indirect goods and services, leveraging market analysis and best practices.
- Negotiate supplier contracts to secure favorable terms, service levels, and pricing.
- Monitor supplier performance and relationships, fostering continuous improvement and innovation.
- Manage purchase orders and track category spending, identifying opportunities for cost savings and performance enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ethical standards, including conducting supplier audits.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, providing valuable insights to stakeholders.
- Support the development of supply chain processes and tools.
- Maintain a safe and compliant work environment, adhering to all regulations and company policies.
- Contribute to team objectives by achieving related results.
- Safeguard the confidentiality of company information and promptly report any security breaches.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Experience:
- Proven experience in executing global indirect purchasing strategies.
- Expertise in managing an indirect supply base and category management.
- Skilled in procuring various goods and services, including CAPEX, MRO, and software.
- Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance operational efficiency.
- Experience in supplier onboarding and performance management.
- Track record of developing and maintaining key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Familiarity with Request for Quotations (RFQs) and managing purchase orders.
- Experience in inventory management and shipment tracking.
Skills:
- Proficient in software applications, including Excel and ERP systems.
- Strong data analysis and contract negotiation skills.
- Effective project and time management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1+ years of relevant experience in procurement.
Other Information:
- Willingness to work extended or irregular hours as needed.
- Authorization to work in the United States is required.
