Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate financial and procurement data to develop effective negotiation tactics.
  • Authorize purchasing agreements with optimal terms.
  • Implement sourcing strategies tailored to the aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing industries.
  • Oversee and maintain precise MRP entries, including supplier information, lead times, and pricing.
  • Assist the Purchasing Manager in formulating and executing policies and procedures to enhance workflow and cost savings.
  • Draft specifications, prepare bids, and manage the bidding process.
  • Assess market availability, recommend awards, and compile both foreign and domestic quotations based on supplied information.
  • Enhance supplier performance by establishing key performance indicators.
  • Effectively communicate any changes in delivery, quality, pricing, or sale conditions.
  • Procure supplies and materials at competitive prices and delivery schedules while keeping inventory levels minimal.
  • Adapt to evolving market conditions to ensure supply chain availability and compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with Operations, IT, Finance, Research & Development, and Marketing to facilitate supply chain activities and product costing.
  • Maintain clear and accurate records of quotations for future reference.
  • Provide timely and precise information for quoting all items and verify quotations based on previous quotes, current market prices, and customer purchasing history.
  • Alert supervisors or managers of potential safety risks.
  • Carry out additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:


• Demonstrated experience in procurement and sourcing within aerospace, automotive, or manufacturing sectors.


• Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or Business Management, or over 5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, automotive, or aerospace.


• Strong analytical and negotiation capabilities.


• Proficient in MS Office Suite (advanced Excel skills).


• Expertise in managing MRP entries and understanding sourcing strategies.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.


• Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.


• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.


• International purchasing experience is advantageous.


• APICS ASCM Certification is a plus.
