Position Overview:
The Senior Manager, Patient Engagement is instrumental in assessing innovative digital health solutions for clinical trials at Moderna.

This role will focus on advancing methods for remote data collection and monitoring through cutting-edge technologies.

Collaboration across various teams and partnerships will be essential to ensure that patient engagement remains central to the execution of clinical trials across all therapeutic areas.

Key Responsibilities:


Support the assessment, development, and deployment of innovative digital health solutions for clinical trials.
Facilitate the integration of novel digital solutions into clinical trials by guiding and educating clinical teams on implementation needs.
Provide centralized reporting to Clinical Trial Teams (CTT) regarding enrollment and retention metrics across the Moderna portfolio.
Work in partnership with Moderna Digital, Data Sciences, and Clinical Trial Equity teams to establish technical requirements for internal automated visualizations of patient and site data related to enrollment and retention.
Act as a subject matter expert on the implementation of innovative patient-centric solutions, including participant/site portals, eConsent, eCOA, telemedicine platforms, and communication systems.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams at Moderna to drive innovation, vendor assessment, and data insights.
Assist in developing training materials for the implementation of digital health applications to ensure a top-tier experience for sites and patients involved in trials.
Partner with the digital implementation team and serve as the business owner during user acceptance testing (UAT) for patient-centric digital solutions applied to trials.
Support analytics and performance measurement of innovative digital trial solutions utilized in Moderna trials.
Manage relationships with existing digital health solution vendors, ensuring they are informed about Moderna's standard operating procedures and training requirements.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree is required.
A minimum of 6 years of experience in clinical trial management within a pharmaceutical company, CRO, or similar organization is essential.
Strong understanding of data analytics and emerging technology solutions in clinical trials is necessary.
Experience with rare diseases or challenging recruitment populations is advantageous.
Familiarity with decentralized and hybrid trial solution implementation is preferred.
Proactive and innovative mindset in clinical trial processes.
Knowledge of current regulatory standards and guidelines governing clinical research is crucial.
Excellent organizational, planning, and interpersonal skills are required.

A self-motivated individual who is detail-oriented, diplomatic, and possesses leadership qualities, with a flexible and positive approach.
Ability to manage time effectively and challenge assumptions to optimize timelines, costs, and quality.
Capable of making informed decisions and communicating recommendations based on thorough analysis of various options, decision support data, and previous experiences in trial optimization.
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Willingness to learn, ability to follow directions, and capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Self-driven and adaptable to changing priorities in a dynamic company environment.
