About the Role

Moderna Therapeutics is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Product Owner, Supply Chain Management to lead our Commercial CMC Product Team and serve as the Value Chain Lead. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in driving value-chain management thinking at Moderna and applying continuous learning and operational improvement to achieve our mission.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive value-chain management thinking at Moderna through the application of continuous learning and operational improvement.
  • Work with commercial and development teams to achieve target product profiles.
  • Lead Moderna's flagship COVID CMC Product Team.
  • Act as the lead partner to the post-launch program team and commercial teams working to bring products to people around the world.
  • Lead integrated Value Chain strategy for life-cycle management, global seasonal launch, platform-to-program evolution strategy, margin improvement strategies, supply chain design, line expansion, sourcing decision support, and more.
  • Support customer engagement to drive continuous product improvement.
  • Lead Value Chain Program risk management and objectives/key results management.
  • Represent the program status, scenarios, and trade-offs for the program with senior leadership, and internal and external stakeholders and align on program/product direction.
  • Ensure successful clinical demand management, supply planning, and execution for the franchise.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of experience working for a commercial-stage pharmaceutical/biotech company in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, CMC Program Management, Value Chain Leadership, or similar field.
  • 2+ years of experience leading cross-functional CMC strategy teams.
  • MS preferred, with an understanding of CMC commercialization and value creation in the biopharmaceutical industry, and commitment to learn about the science behind our platform technology.

  • Ability to perform and synthesize in-depth analyses of indications, products, and therapeutic areas, to integrate analysis and broader context into a recommendation, and to defend recommendation in a respectful, objective manner.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills to deliver a compelling narrative/message to senior stakeholders in the organization.
