Position Overview:
The Network Services AV Team is tasked with constructing, supporting, and enhancing the Compass North American on-premises audiovisual platforms.

This team collaborates closely with Network Operations and User Services teams within the Enterprise Architecture and Shared Services Technology (EASST) division to achieve the objectives of Compass Technology and Compass Group.

The AV Team Manager is accountable for supervising and aiding the AV team, ensuring daily operations, coordination, execution, and support of audiovisual systems and requirements for executive, educational, and routine meetings in a dynamic, customer service-oriented conference center setting.

The AV Team Manager will act as the liaison to third-party AV design and implementation firms.

Key Responsibilities:


Oversee and assist the AV Team in the setup, testing, maintenance, asset management, operation, and dismantling of audiovisual (AV) and videoconference (VTC) equipment; including video data projection systems, computers, audio- and videoconference devices, microphones, video cameras, audio systems, and the operation of integrated AV systems.
Coordinate and manage third-party AV installation companies to finalize AV designs, quotations, and implementations.

Manage the AV Team to provide optimal assistance in fulfilling any audiovisual technical requirements as assigned.
Deliver a monthly report detailing room usage data, open action items, equipment maintenance, and upcoming preventive maintenance schedules.
Enforce the process for creating trouble tickets, customer issue resolution logs, and asset management.

Manage and assist the AV Team in executing all aspects of videoconference support, including call setup, end-user training, troubleshooting, and escalation of issues.

Provide consultation and education to all levels of end users regarding presentation technologies.

Schedule and enforce regular preventive maintenance checks (e.g., addressing issues such as cable management, safety standards compliance, etc.). Escalate housekeeping and technical issues outside of AV and conferencing technology and applications to the appropriate department.

Maintain a thorough understanding of current and emerging presentation technology.

Qualifications:


Comprehensive working knowledge of the operation and troubleshooting of AV and videoconferencing technology, including Crestron, Polycom, Cisco, Teams, and Logitech.
3-5 years of experience in audiovisual technology operations.
3-5 years of customer service experience.

Basic technical understanding of related communications technologies (i.e., IT, data networking, telecommunications, communications cabling, etc.).

Basic familiarity with commercial/institutional building design and construction, including an understanding of typical building systems (i.e., HVAC, electrical, lighting, building controls, security, etc.).
InfoComm CTS (or comparable) certification.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
A positive attitude and solutions-oriented mindset.
Ability and willingness to collaborate and lead discussions in both technical and non-technical settings.
Ability to convey timelines, resources, and technical needs to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to navigate intra-team, inter-team, and corporate-level boundaries.
Ability and willingness to mentor engineers of varying technical skill sets within and across teams.
Ability and willingness to coordinate multi-team efforts, including external vendors and clients.
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to diverse audiences.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
