Territory Sales Manager

Ashland is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Sales Manager to join our team in the Personal Care division. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating sustainable and profitable growth for our Microbial Protection Business within the Business Unit Personal Care.
Key Responsibilities:- Present, promote, and sell products to existing and new customers within a defined territory.
- Monitor and report on progress of commercial projects.
- Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
- Develop strong partnerships with prospective customers, existing clients, market influencers, and other relevant partners to generate new leads and brand recognition within the respective region.
- Sustain and grow the customer base by nurturing relationships within an assigned territory.
- Maintain an expert knowledge of health and beauty trends, especially in the field of cosmetic preservatives, as well as a finger on the pulse of new innovations within the category.
- Collaborate and connect with all applicable Ashland departments to ensure transparency and alignment.
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in biology, microbiology, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years of proven working experience as a sales manager, business development manager, or other relevant role in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, life science, or specialty chemical industries, or 5-7 years as a formulation chemist/cosmetic microbiologist.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Valid driver's license.
- Home base on East Coast or US-based with a willingness to relocate.
- Willingness to travel (approx. 40-50%).
