Job Title: Territory Sales Manager - Personal Care

Ashland is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Territory Sales Manager to join our team in the Personal Care division. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for generating sustainable and profitable growth for our Microbial Protection Business within the Business Unit Personal Care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Present, promote, and sell products to existing and new customers within a defined territory.
  • Monitor and report on progress of commercial projects.
  • Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products, and services.
  • Develop strong partnerships with prospective customers, existing clients, market influencers, and other relevant partners to generate new leads and brand recognition within the respective region.
  • Sustain and grow the customer base by nurturing relationships within an assigned territory.
  • Maintain an expert knowledge of health and beauty trends, especially in the field of cosmetic preservatives, as well as a finger on the pulse of new innovations within the category.
  • Collaborate and connect with all applicable Ashland departments to ensure transparency and alignment.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree, preferably in biology, microbiology, biochemistry, chemical engineering, or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of proven working experience as a sales manager, business development manager, or other relevant role in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, life science, or specialty chemical industries, or 5-7 years as a formulation chemist/cosmetic microbiologist.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Home base on East Coast or US-based with a willingness to relocate.
  • Willingness to travel (approx. 40-50%).
