Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented General Clerk II to join our team at Interactive Government Holdings, Inc. in Princeton, MO. As a General Clerk II, you will provide administrative support to our staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to executive and field staff, including office management and general administration.
  • Assist with conservation program documentation, general administration, and office business functions.
  • Support with collecting and assembling cost data, processing payment application requests, and reviewing invoices and vouchers.
  • Assist with compiling necessary documents to substantiate payment requests and ensure compliance with provisions of long-term contracting.
  • Track producer requests for wetland compliance and highly erodible land assistance, maintaining case files and records.
  • Assist with accuracy reviews of documentation, compliance with regulations, and justification of vouchers and invoices.
  • Process program payment information, prepare documents for signature, and forward completed documents to financial management staff.
  • Establish and maintain contracting files and producer records, including program applications and eligibility information.
  • Assist with driving Government vehicles for routine maintenance and service, tracking mileage and repairs.
  • Provide technical information to program applicants and participants, including program and land eligibility requirements.
  • Assist with uploading documents and photos to conservation planning software and other Data Management Systems.
  • Follow up on the status of conservation plan progress and transfer landowners to the appropriate staff when necessary.
Requirements
  • Must possess a state-issued driver's license and have a clean driving record.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and be well-organized.
  • Must have previous experience in office management and/or administration.
  • Must be proficient in word processing and able to type 40 words per minute.
  • Must be knowledgeable and experienced in utilizing computer hardware and software applications, including Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Teams.
  • Must be able to utilize Microsoft Outlook for email and calendars and internet browsers such as Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Microsoft Edge.
  • Must be knowledgeable and experienced in operating small office machines, such as calculators, fax machines, scanners, postage meters, and copy machines.
  • Must be knowledgeable and experienced in general office procedures, such as preparing reports, spreadsheets, and filing.
  • Must be able to write at least four letters per hour and proofread others' work.
  • Must be able to file at least 50 documents an hour, electronically and/or physically.
  • Must have the ability to learn and utilize agency-specific software and web-based applications.
  • Must have familiarity with certified mail and return-receipt mail procedures.
  • Must be capable of working independently and possessing basic and courteous telephone skills.
  • Must be able to multi-task and shift focus when needed to provide immediate customer assistance.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation and read, write, speak, and understand English fluently.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge and support of the Equal Opportunity and Civil Rights policy.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working for/with USDA NRCS.
  • Experience with Farm Bill initiatives/programs.
  • Familiarity with natural resource conservation efforts in Missouri.
