Role Overview

As a key player at Ballpark Commons, a premier sports entertainment venue, the Event Sales Executive will actively seek, engage, and collaborate with clients who desire to create memorable experiences for their guests throughout the entire sales process. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive venue sales team revenue by achieving or surpassing individual sales targets.
  • Provide an exceptional guest experience from initial inquiry through to post-event follow-up.
  • Build and maintain client relationships through consistent communication to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Manage and confirm event bookings utilizing the sales and CRM systems, ensuring all client interactions are documented.
  • Monitor personal sales performance through established reports and dashboards to meet or exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with event sales colleagues to cultivate a fun, competitive, and results-oriented sales environment.
  • Work closely with all departments within the venue to ensure seamless operations.
  • Communicate any updates or specific requirements for successful event execution to Operations and Culinary teams based on client expectations.
  • Engage proactively in outbound sales activities and community networking.
  • Participate in regular Sales Team meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Focus Areas for the Role

  • Actively pursue inbound and outbound sales initiatives, particularly within the social booking segment, including but not limited to: 2-bay parties, birthday celebrations, graduations, wedding rehearsals and receptions, bachelor/bachelorette parties, gender reveal events, and reunions.
  • Identify and develop innovative opportunities to attract and secure socially-oriented events.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Sports Management, or Sales/Marketing preferred; relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • Experience in sales, particularly within hospitality, restaurant, or entertainment sectors.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with new and returning guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Proficient in computer applications, especially Microsoft Office and Sales & CRM tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, along with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated self-motivation and high energy levels.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism at all times, both internally and externally.
  • Adaptable to changing business needs and team dynamics.
