Director of Strategic Projects

InsideHigherEd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Strategic Projects to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for advising on, developing, and managing new and existing projects from initiation through implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare high-level reports and proposals for review by senior leadership
  • Manage the School's Accreditation/Self-study process
  • Oversee School-wide academic proposals/initiatives and academic data
  • Serve as point person for the accreditation process and related reports
  • Supervise the Senior Data Analyst
  • Monitor project progress and identify necessary adjustments
  • Fulfill reporting requirements and work with senior leadership to ensure projects contribute to advancing the strategic objectives of the School

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree (advanced degree in Public Health, Public Policy, Economics, Management, or related discipline an asset) and at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in developing projects and processes from inception through implementation, including writing reports that include assembling and analyzing data
  • Demonstrated understanding of issues and concepts surrounding public health
  • Ability to effectively multi-task, prioritize, and execute tasks in a high-paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Knowledge of project management tools and techniques
  • Superb writing and editing skills
