Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified SALES EXPERT who exemplifies the ARDEX solution-oriented, 'customer-first' philosophy, to develop new and existing business avenues with partner distributors, commercial contractors, flooring specialists, installers, architects, and other influential stakeholders.

This role is field-based, with a primary focus on the CHICAGO area. The designated territory encompasses the Northern IL markets, extending from the East and West state lines down to Champaign. Regular travel throughout the territory is necessary, including occasional overnight stays.

SALES EXPERT, CHICAGO METRO REGION - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive Revenue Growth for ARDEX and Henry products
  • Generate New Leads and secure business opportunities
  • Showcase Products through interactive demonstrations, presentations, and professional displays
  • Establish Relationships with partner distributors, specialized flooring/tiling contractors, general contractors, architects, and key business influencers
  • Provide Field Service & Support including job initiation assistance, bid preparation, and training for distributors/installers
  • Offer Technical Expertise and recommendations, collaborating with our technical team for resources and solutions
  • Meet and Exceed Targets and performance goals
  • Collaborate with corporate resources (Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics) to deliver outstanding service to ARDEX clients
  • Maintain Exceptional Standards - represent ARDEX as the industry leader in professional standards and a 'customer-first' approach.
  • Minimum of 5 years of external sales experience is essential. Familiarity with the building materials sector is required. Knowledge of flooring installation systems is advantageous
  • Technical proficiency and familiarity with architectural specifications and construction design elements
  • Exhibit high levels of business integrity, ethics, and sound professional judgment
  • Demonstrate high energy and enthusiasm for the industry. Solution-oriented and customer-focused
  • Capable of delivering product presentations and demonstrations with confidence and professionalism
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record. Willingness to travel daily throughout the assigned territory, including some overnight stays.
  • Able to operate both non-powered and powered tools. Possess good mechanical or hands-on skills to meet the demands of intensive and physically challenging field support and service
  • Ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, with a carrying capacity of 55 pounds.
  • A four-year college degree is preferred, or a minimum completed high school diploma with relevant industry experience.
