We are seeking a skilled SALES EXECUTIVE to become a vital part of our CHICAGO METRO AREA team. This role requires a solution-oriented, customer-centric approach to develop new and existing business relationships with distributor partners, commercial contractors, flooring specialists, architects, and other influential stakeholders.

This position is field-based, with a primary location in CHICAGO. The designated territory encompasses Northern Illinois, extending from the eastern and western state borders down to Champaign. Daily travel within the territory is essential, including occasional overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth for ARDEX and Henry product lines.
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Showcase products through engaging demonstrations, presentations, and professional displays.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with distributor partners, specialized flooring contractors, general contractors, architects, and key industry influencers.
  • Provide on-site support, including job initiation assistance, bid preparation, and training for distributors and installers.
  • Offer technical expertise and recommendations, collaborating with our technical team for resources and solutions.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Work alongside corporate resources (Technical, Customer Service, Marketing, Logistics) to ensure exceptional service delivery to ARDEX clients.
  • Represent ARDEX as the industry leader, upholding exemplary professional standards and a 'customer-first' ethos.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience is required. Familiarity with the building materials sector is essential, while knowledge of flooring installation systems is advantageous.
  • Technical proficiency and understanding of architectural specifications and construction design elements.
  • Exemplary business integrity, ethics, and sound professional judgment.
  • High energy levels and enthusiasm for the industry, with a solution-driven and customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to conduct product presentations and demonstrations with confidence and professionalism.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory. Daily travel throughout the assigned territory, including occasional overnight stays, is required.
  • Capability to operate both power and non-power tools, with strong mechanical or hands-on skills to support intensive field service needs.
  • Able to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally, with a carrying capacity of 55 pounds.
  • A four-year college degree is preferred, or a high school diploma with relevant industry experience.
