Technical Sales Specialist

Company Overview: DeBellis Catherine & Morreale - Corporate Staffing is representing a well-established manufacturing firm with a rich history in the industry, located in a northern suburb of Buffalo, NY.
Position Overview: We are seeking an entry-level Inside Sales Engineer who possesses an engineering degree and has 1-2 years of experience in inside sales, applications engineering, or customer support, particularly with electro-mechanical devices or similar technical products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for customers, addressing technical inquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to interpret customer needs and develop tailored solutions.
- Create and present product proposals, offering technical assistance throughout the sales process.
- Manage customer service aspects of sales, ensuring a seamless experience for clients.
Daily Responsibilities Include:
- Reviewing customer RFP packages to interpret requirements and develop technical proposals for new programs and devices.
- Responding to general and technical inquiries from customers regarding products.
- Overseeing order entry and maintenance processes.
- Utilizing effective communication skills to diagnose technical issues and guide users through troubleshooting.
- Facilitating customer interactions with the engineering department as necessary.
- Reviewing and approving quotes and orders.
- Tracking and following up on open sales opportunities.
- Assisting sales representatives with both technical and general inquiries.
- Supporting the National Sales Manager in enhancing inside sales processes, including quotations and technical training tools.
- Identifying and reporting potential product development opportunities.
- Providing secondary phone coverage for program customers and technical support.
- Assisting with shipping documentation and order tracking for transducer customers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in inside sales, applications engineering, or customer service with a technical product.
- Proficiency in MS Office, MRP Systems, and strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and demonstrate technical sales and customer service expertise.
